Getting started

  • This module provides you with information on what you need to know before you start writing XHTML documents.
  • You will learn about some of the more popular HTML editors.
  • You will also develop strategies to stay organized when working on a Web site.

Structure of an XHTML document

  • This module reviews the basic structure of an XHTML document. Doctypes, Rules of the document.

Basic structures

  • Each Web page consists of basic elements such as paragraphs and headings.
  • This module will show you how to use these basic elements.

Formatting text

  • This module provides practice in applying formatting to words and phrases, including the use of bold text, italic text, CSS Overview Preformatted text, and special characters.

Lists

  • This module teaches you how to create three types of lists: bullet lists, numbered lists, and definition lists.

Graphics

  • This module shows you how to insert images into an XHTML page. It also discusses graphic alignment and methods of organizing graphics on your Web page.

Links

  • Links are an important part of a Web site. In this module, you will learn the basics of hypertext links.
  • You will also learn about creating image links and email links, named anchor’s and absolute and relative links.
